The objective of internship program is to provide a clinical equine internship experience for selected young veterinarians through the following aims:
• Develop clinical skills under the guidance of experienced specialists.
• Foster development of interpersonal skills through communication with referring veterinarians, clients, and dedicated hospital team.
• Stimulate curiosity-driven motivation.
• Nurture academic professional development.
While the internship is a hospital practice internship, there will be opportunities for the interns to rotate into the field to assist in the treatment hospital at the endurance races and Nad Al Sheba paddock.
Internship applicants should be within 2 years of graduation of veterinary school and obtaining their veterinary degree.
Applications for the 2010 internships will be accepted starting 1 January 2010.
Applicants must submit the following for a completed application:
• Current CV
• Letter of intent
• Reference letters from 3 veterinarians, preferably equine veterinarians
